Here’s a sneak peek of my next three Instagram posts.
I’ve been creating a new image every day for the last 168 days. I usually make one image a day because I believe we should create something every day. So it is unusual for me to make a batch of images to post over several days. But, I decided that I want to give 100% of my focus on my website tomorrow. That’s why I made three images today.
More or less, the main purpose of my Instagram project is all about me trying to discover my visual creative voice. And to try to drive some traffic to this website. You can read more about this in a feature post that I wrote: Don’t Love This!
I would describe the style of the above images as hard-edge geometric abstract digital collage:
Hard-edge is an approach to abstract painting that became widespread in the 1960s and is characterized by flat color areas with sharp, clear edges (1).
Geometrical abstraction is a form of abstract art based on geometric shapes, sometimes, though not always, placed in non-illusionistic space and combined into non-objective (non-representational) compositions (2).
Digital Collage is a form of graphic art created by layering together different kinds of images, textures, and concepts to create entirely new artwork.
