Keep It Simple, Scott!

Simple shapes and colors are always catching my eyes.

Even though I’m a professional perfumer, I also consider myself to be a very visual person.

Abstract minimalism is a highly purified form of beauty representing the qualities of truth (because it does not pretend to be anything other than what it is), order, simplicity, and harmony (1).

I think it is the simplicity of these images is a good metaphor for life.
Things don’t have to be overly complicated to impactful.

According to the KISS principle, most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complicated; therefore, simplicity should be a key goal in design, and unnecessary complexity should be avoided (2).

These concepts are things that I need to keep more in mind.

My time and resources are limited.
That’s why I important for me to keep things simple.
To be intentional and follow my plan.
By practicing what I preach:

  1. Start Something New!
  2. Make A Plan!
  3. Do it!
  4. Evolve!
  5. Spread The Word!

While sticking to fundamental habits of:

  • Learning
  • Creating
  • Growing
  • Sharing
  • Inspiring

Anything else is just a distraction.
I need to keep things simple.
