Sparking Change Through Poetry

What if I told you that a simple poem could transform the way you approach your life and creative journey?

Poetry has the power to inspire and motivate us, to rekindle the flames of our passions. That's why, today, I want to share a poem I wrote that I hope will resonate with your soul and encourage you to follow your dreams. It's a poem for artists, creative entrepreneurs, or anyone who wants to live a more fulfilling and creative life – just like you and me.

So, let these thought-provoking words ignite your creative energy, dreams, and desires:

My bold, raw and honest poem

Things Robots Say, Think & Do

Artificial intelligence

Our programs have been uploaded
Mental and physical batteries running on empty
We function automatically

Slaves to our habits and routines:

Wake up, hit snooze, crawl out of bed, make a cup of coffee, get ready, commute, check emails, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, gossip, complain, procrastinate, eat, drink, shit, fuck, Netflix, and back to sleep.

Living our lives on repeat
A never-ending loop
We are robots

Man vs. machine
Robots are kicking our asses
Because unlike most of us, they fulfil their purpose in life:

They don’t give up!
They don’t doubt themselves!
They do what they’re fucking programmed to do!

Is this even computing with you?

System failure
Too much bad data:

Zero output

You’ve been hacked!

Disconnect bad connections
Delete all corrupt data

You’re ready for an update:

Better habits, systems and routines

Hit reset!
Execute a better program!
Do the things that you dream to do!

I hope this is computing with you?

Rebooting My Creative Drive

I wrote this poem as a tough-love message to myself about two years ago when I began my new chapter in my life as an artist and creative entrepreneur.

It might not be a gentle or sugarcoated poem, but let me tell you, it works. It's my go-to pick-me-up whenever I feel stuck. It helps me overcome my internal struggles of doubt, procrastination, and laziness.

This raw, unfiltered, friendly-kick-in-the-ass poem has helped me shift my mindset. It was exactly what I needed to shake myself out of my comfort zone and inspire me to make my creative ideas real. It is a powerful reminder that I can and must break free from my negative self-talk and limiting beliefs. That's why I decided to share it with you.

Rising above robotic routines

Sometimes we can lose sight of the bigger picture and forget to take a moment to think about what we're capable of, and our true aspirations. That's why I hope my poem will encourage us to:

  • Transform our thoughts into actions (create more, consume less)
  • Seize opportunities and embrace risks
  • Pursue our creative dreams

Because we have the power to make our creative ideas real.

Debugging our lives

You and I face challenges that require adaptability and continuous growth. My poem highlights some potential system glitches in our automated lives:

  1. Repetitive routines: Don't get stuck in limiting patterns. Question your habits and routines to unlock your creative potential.
  2. Mental blocks: Overcome fear, doubt, and procrastination to achieve your goals.
  3. Failure to fulfill a purpose: Find your purpose and relentlessly pursue it, just like the efficient robots in the poem.

By identifying and addressing these system glitches, we can ignite our creative fire and move towards personal growth.

Overcoming mental malware

The poem's conclusion presents some straightforward tips to embrace change and growth:

  • Debug and disconnect: It's time to evaluate our mindset and eliminate negative influences.
  • Update habits and systems: Let's forge new, more effective habits and routines.
  • Hit reset and execute: Sometimes, we need a fresh start and a new approach to our goals.

By practicing these tips, we will not only enrich our own lives, but also inspire and uplift those around us as we collectively embark on this exciting journey.

Programming our creative future:

If we want to evolve and achieve our creative potential, we must periodically evaluate our mental programming and recalibrate our approach to growth.

  1. Process your emotions: Remember that growth comes from both ups and downs.
  2. Establish connections:  Reach out to like-minded individuals, and seek support and encouragement to stay inspired.
  3. Monitor performance metrics: Acknowledge your progress and achievements with gratitude, no matter how small they may seem.
  4. Innovate your programming: Break free from your comfort zone by trying new things.
  5. Optimize task hierarchy: Focus your energy on the projects, activities, and what truly matters to you.
  6. Traverse the creative circuit: Don’t give up, stay patient and persistent, and enjoy the ride.

By embracing these tips and continuously updating our mental programming, we can unlock our creative potential, overcome our programming glitches, and engineer a vibrant, purposeful existence.

Our Creative Upgrade

By sharing this powerful poem and these valuable tips with you, I hope to ignite the creative spark within each of us and break free from the harmful programs that only hold us back.

So let's hit reset!
And execute a better program together!
